Kazakhstan Expands Mobile Coverage Along Highways: More Than 40,000 Kilometers of Roads to Be Covered by Mobile Networks
Kazakhstan continues the large-scale development of its digital and telecommunications infrastructure.
Kazakhstan continues the large-scale development of its digital and telecommunications infrastructure. One of the key projects aims to provide reliable mobile coverage along more than 40,000 kilometers of national and regional highways.
As part of the project, more than 500 antenna towers and base stations are planned to be constructed. Mobile coverage of national highways is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, while regional roads are planned to be covered by the end of 2027.
The expansion of connectivity along transport routes will allow drivers and passengers to use navigation, government, and banking services more reliably, while also improving access to emergency communications. The new infrastructure will also create opportunities for the implementation of intelligent traffic management systems and road condition monitoring technologies.
At the same time, Kazakhstan is developing satellite technologies for areas where the construction of traditional terrestrial infrastructure is difficult. Government authorities are considering satellite internet as one of the solutions for providing connectivity in remote areas. Railway transport and tourist destinations have also been identified as important areas for further connectivity development.
For KAZTECHNOLOGY, the development of this infrastructure is directly connected with the company’s key areas of expertise. The company develops technological solutions for railway transport and remote facilities, combining modern communication systems, proprietary equipment, and software solutions.
One of KAZTECHNOLOGY’s key areas of focus is the implementation of satellite technologies that provide internet access in locations where traditional communication channels are limited or unavailable. Such solutions can be used in transport, industrial facilities, mining sites, construction sites, logistics operations, tourist destinations, and other remote locations.
The development of Kazakhstan’s digital infrastructure is creating new opportunities for the implementation of advanced communication technologies.
KAZTECHNOLOGY continues to develop solutions that help businesses and the transport sector stay connected regardless of distance.
