AI for Every Woman: Women in Tech Kazakhstan Holds Free Education and Digital Safety Meetup in Taraz
The Autumn WIT Meetup, organized by Women in Tech Kazakhstan, was held in Taraz. Participants were introduced to free educational programs in artificial intelligence and learned, in simple and accessible terms, how to protect their personal data, finances, and online accounts in the digital environment.
During the event, Women in Tech Kazakhstan presented the AI for Her and AI for Her Business initiatives, designed to help women develop practical skills in using artificial intelligence tools for education, career development, professional activities, and entrepreneurship.
«“You don’t need to be a programmer to start using artificial intelligence. It is important for us to show every woman that AI tools are already accessible and can be practically applied in work, education, and business development,” said Alima Umutbek, Co-Founder of Women in Tech and Event Director.»
The second key topic of the event was digital safety. The Aman Bol program was presented in Taraz, offering practical guidance on how to recognize digital threats, protect personal and financial information, and use online services safely — without complicated technical terminology.
The topic was further explored during the panel discussion “Safety in the Digital World: Data, Money, and Personal Boundaries,” which brought together experts from the banking sector, business community, and regional digitalization sector. The panel was moderated by Aidai Aitakova, General Project Manager at Women in Tech.
«“Digital safety has become an integral part of everyday life. It is important for women to understand how to protect their personal data and finances, and what to do when facing the risks we encounter online every day,” said Adel Shimbergenova, Head of Women in Tech in Taraz.»
The Autumn WIT Meetup took place at Sherkhan Murtaza International University.
Through its regional meetups, Women in Tech Kazakhstan aims to make knowledge about artificial intelligence and digital safety accessible to women regardless of their profession or level of technical expertise.
